Curis, Inc. is a therapeutic drug development company. It was founded by Thomas Dudley Cabot Professor of the Natural Sciences, Dr Douglas Melton at Harvard University. The company's technology focus is on regulatory pathways that control repair and regeneration. Curis' product development involves the use of proteins or small molecules to modulate these pathways. Based on this approach, Curis has produced several promising drug product candidates in the fields of cancer, kidney disease, neurological disorders and cardiovascular disease. The stem cell program in Curis is still in discovery stage. We apply human and mouse embryonic stem cells in our drug discovery processes in the areas of neurodegenerative diseases such as Spinal Muscular Atrophy, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, Huntington's Disease and Parkinson's Disease.
